  • SIMS and Gemini teams: Innovating with advanced technologies to bring this vision to life.

  • Red Flag: Delivering state-of-the-art seal technologies to underpin supply chain security.

The Value of a Single Day in Trade

At the heart of this pilot lies a critical question: What is the value of a single day in the supply chain? The answer underscores the profound economic potential of efficiency:

  • Shoprite Holdings Ltd: With an annual Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) of R240.7 billion, saving just one day unlocks R668.6 million in working capital.

  • Pick n Pay Stores Ltd: Reducing a single day frees up R239.4 million in liquidity from their COGS of R86.17 billion.

  • Woolworths Holdings Ltd: Saving a day releases R127.3 million, boosting reinvestment opportunities.
     

For Lesotho, reducing delays at critical border points like Maseru Bridge can catalyze economic transformation. Faster clearance times lower costs, enhance competitiveness, and strengthen trade partnerships, creating ripples of growth across the economy.
